The Kattel has arrived at winter storage. After the initial hauling out (in seagull-leg mode 😉), the hull was fully visible for the first time. Considering its age, the condition is excellent. After a pressure wash right at the crane, no damage was found.
There are some rusty spots on the swing keel, but these are within the normal wear and tear of a sailing season and far from any serious corrosion.
A few winter maintenance tasks were tackled immediately at the new storage location—stay tuned for a dedicated blog post on that soon!
But before anything else, here are some pictures from the crane day!
